Q: How long have you been doing this and how did you become a wedding and special event consultant?

I’ve been planning wedding and special events since the late 90s. Because of my organization skills and my unique attention to detail, my friends and family called upon my services to assist them in planning events.  After doing so for a few years, I recognized my God-given talent to plan events. My passion was birthed and I haven’t looked back.  This journey has been so fulfilling and the best part is knowing that my passion has created some of the most beautiful memories for my clients. There isn’t a greater reward!

Q: We love your wedding planning services and gallery.  Everything sounds great.  So, can you tell me what really sets you apart from all the other wedding consultants out there?

What sets me apart from other wedding consultants is my ability to establish a working relationship with my clients as opposed to them viewing me as “hired help.” I take the time to really get to know my clients’ personality and style which helps me see their vision for their wedding.

We also stay abreast of the cutting–edge wedding trends which appeal to our clients who want everything from the traditional, fairytale, to the most modern themes. Our talents and creativity can make your event the BEST!  Your guests will be giving you compliments and accolades for years to come. We can make it happen!

Q: This all sounds so wonderful. But, it also seems expensive. Are we going to be able to afford this?

Yes! We understand the needs of the budget conscious bride.  That’s why we offer three packages that can fit the needs of any budget.  We also understand that time is money.  The average bride spends close to 400 hours planning her wedding.  Do you have 400 hours of time to plan your wedding?  Of course not!  Are there times when you consider your time more valuable than money?  Of course you do!  Our goal is to ensure that you stay within your budget and to save you time by offering professional services which assist you in planning the wedding of your dreams without breaking your bank.

Q: Lucretia, who do you work best with?

That’s a great question. I work best with the kind of bride who understands the value of having a professional consultant assist her in planning her dream wedding.  This bride knows what she wants but is unsure how to accomplish all of the tasks that come with planning a wedding.  She relies on our expertise and resources to make her experience STRESS FREE.  Who wants to be stressed on one of the most important days of their lives? Not you – trust me!

Q: Who is not going to benefit from your help in planning their wedding?

It is very important to me to help brides and their families create an amazing experience as they plan their wedding. The person who doesn’t understand the value of having a professional consultant or is a pessimistic person will not benefit from my help. In order to get the best out of me and my team, you MUST believe you deserve the best.

Q: Will I lose control of my own wedding if you are planning it for me?

Absolutely Not! A good wedding planner will never take control away from you.  The key word is ASSIST.  Distinct Event Planning will ASSIST brides in creating the wedding day they have dreamed about.

Q: Will you work with the vendors I’ve already found or people I really want to work with?

Yes, we will work with vendors you’ve already found and anyone you choose to work with.  As I said before, we are here to ASSIST you. But, we do have access to amazing vendors who will also ASSIST in making your wedding day special.

Q: Do you take credit cards and do you have a payment plan?

We accept payments via Pay Pal and we also offer payment plans. As I mentioned before, we understand the needs of the budget conscious bride.  That’s why we offer payment options for our clients.

Q: Do you have liability insurance?

Yes. We have liability insurance that allows us to work confidently everywhere. We have never needed it, but we are protected to help you feel more secure and safe for your peace of mind knowing that we’re fully covered.

Q: Do you take more than one wedding per day?

No and we never will. We pride ourselves in focusing on one event per day. This ensures that you’ll receive the undivided attention you deserve on your wedding day.
